1. Delete in the app
The quickest way. Your account is deleted immediately: Settings → Delete account → Continue → enter your password → Delete my account → Delete.
- Open the Settings tab, at the far right of the bottom bar.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap the red Delete account button, below Log out.
- Review what will be deleted — your account, your dogs and their history, your treadmills — and what stays with other people. Tap Continue.
- On Confirm it's you, enter your password and tap Delete my account.
- In the Delete your account? dialog, tap Delete.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app, email info@firepaw.eu from the email address of your Firepaw account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you can no longer use that address, tell us, and we will find another way to confirm the account is yours. We delete the account within one month and confirm by email.
3. Before you delete
- If you manage a dog that other people can see, transfer it to someone else or remove their access first. We do not delete a dog other people rely on without their knowledge.
- Accept, decline or cancel any pending dog transfers.
- Deleting your account cannot be undone.
4. What is deleted
- Your name, email address, password, timezone and preferences — your account is anonymised and can never be signed in to again.
- Dogs that only you could see, with their photos.
- Your treadmills.
- Your competitions, with their participants and results.
- Your access to other people's dogs.
- Your email verification codes and any password reset in progress.
- Your sign-in sessions, on every device.
5. What is kept, and why
- Sessions you recorded on dogs shared with others stay with those dogs, because they are part of those dogs' training records. They are no longer linked to anything that identifies you.
- Records of consents you gave and requests you made about your data: for 5 years after your account is deleted, so we can show we met our legal obligations. They are then deleted automatically.
- The security audit log: up to 12 months from each event, then deleted automatically.
- Encrypted backups of our database, stored with the server in Bulgaria: up to 12 months, then deleted. Anything you delete can remain in a backup until the backups holding it are deleted.
